Today I rode the Surly to the parks and met Jeff at Linky Stone Park. We rode up the trail and chit-chatted all the way. We went around the lake at Furman with Jeff doing the hill on the backside. We ran into Ken and stopped and talked with him for a minute. Then we rode on to Travelers Rest then on to the north end of the trail. We nearly stopped to eat at the Creperie, but the line was out the door. So Jeff and I headed back down the trail. There were some places that appeared to have microbursts along the trail as there were a lot of small limbs and debris down. There was a tree down with a chunk out of the middle and I stopped to see if I could move it off the trail. One side I figured was too heavy to move and the other side was wedged between two trees, so we couldn’t move it. I pushed my bike back on the trail and mounted it but Jeff mounted his trike and tried to ride onto the trail. But the bike rolled over on him. We got that straightened out and headed back down the trail. We rode into town and JEff led me to Maple Street Biscuit where he works. I had a Groovy Gravy Mashup. I rode with Jeff back to his apartment complex then headed toward home. I climbed the big hill to get home.
