| Ride Description: Drove to Maxwell, parked at the gas station just north of the interstate. From there I rode to the curve where Russ was killed on his motorcycle. I got off, walked around a bit, and just really didn't see a reason why his bike went off the road. Doesn't matter, can't bring him back. And from there I rode to Ft. McPherson National Cemetery and sat at his grave for a little while. And for the first time noticed that his birthday month on the headstone is wrong. Good grief, how many times have I looked at that??? At any rate, I actually got a small chuckle out of it. Hopefully it was their mistake and it can be fixed quickly. This was my first real bike ride since Russ' passing. |
