Comments: A surprisingly nice ride for such rainy weather. This ride put me over my V-Day 400 challenge and also marked a new personal best for two-day mileage. It felt very good.
Kathleen rode with me, so I was able to get some observations from her. Namely, the TailSok needs retensioning, as it is flapping. Shortening the boom an inch or so two days ago seems to have relieved any incipient Achilles tendonitis -- although the lower end of my quads complained a bit.
It was nice to have a riding partner. Snack at the world's largest black cottonwood tree (Willamette Mission State Park). Were passed by two DF riders on Spring Valley Rd who apparently turned around at Hopewell Rd and came back to pass us going the other way a short time later.
Wildlife spotted: kestrel, falcon, redtail hawk, killdeer, redwing blackbird (heard), mourning dove, rabbit, frogs (heard).

| Weather Conditions: Rain until Lincoln, then mostly cloudy with some sunbreaks for the rest of the ride. South- to southwest winds that varied from calm to about 10 mph, resulting in light tailwinds on the outbound leg and sporadic winds from the front-right quarter on the return leg. |

First ride after completely reinstalling TailSok. I certainly had a higher average speed, but I also pushed myself harder. Data inconclusive.
Also moved the grips forward 4 inches. Much more comfortable. Haven't tested in a sled ride yet, though....
