Comments: Solo Saturday out to Dadaocheng Wharf and back. Wasn't sure if I'd get out today, which is why I didn't make plans to ride with Karen P. I was surprised at my attitude...it wasn't a bad day for a ride, a little cool, but I still gave in and vented at various times. And I gave myself a talking to when I got home and told me to shape up and be grateful for what I have.
First flat in many many months today, but walked on home since it flatted just 1/2 mile from my apartment. |

| Comments: Nice ride past Tanshui to "our" beach with Karen P. Stopped at Starbuck's in Tanshui on the way back before returning to Tienmu. Started out calm, just a tiny bit cool, and warmed up a bit until we passed Tanshui. Riding to the beach found us going into some good wind and a bit of drizzle. Back at Starbuck's, it was warm enough to sit outside with hot chocolate. Then by the time we left, the temp had dropped a bit and the drizzle started in in earnest. Didn't get too wet, and the cool felt great. |

| Comments: Leisurely ride with Karen and two of her friends. Out past the Grand Hotel a little ways, then back in to Tienmu. First ride out on the OCR3 after cleaning and maintenance. Yep, I knew it, new chain needs a new cassette. Took it in to Fuji a little while ago and they'll see how quickly they can find and 8-speed cassette. So, no road bike again, but that's why I have two bikes! |
