Comments: Dave Durkee and I rode the abbreviated SW loop. Ran into gravel on 48th, backtracked to Rich and went over to 56th. Took that up to Warner, and found that Warner was gravel. 60th coming off Leonard was also dirt, so we continued on to Lamont, went North and picked up Johnson, and got back on route by taking 16th up to Hayes.

Comments: Adam, Brian, Phil, Don, Scott, Ron, Jerry and I rode the Duncan Lake route.

The group was getting a little spread out, but we regrouped every few miles.

At Eastern and 142nd, the Fast Group (Jerry, Brian, and I) turned West, while the Good pace group continued North.

We caught up with the rear of the Good paced group between 76th and 68th, and by the middle of the bike path had passed all but two of the Good paced riders (or so I thought.)

When we got back to Challenger, there was one rider I couldn't account for. Phil and Brian told me that there had been four, not three riders that took the long route.

I rode back out the bike path and down to 68th, but didn't see Adam. I turned around and came back through the neighborhood and back to Challenger, and saw that all the cars were gone.

Just as I was arriving home, my phone chirped to let me know I had a voicemail. It was Brian, telling me that Adam had arrived back at Challenger about 5 minutes after I had left to go look for him.

So my 30 mile ride ended up turning into a 40 mile ride. I had been pacing myself for a 30 mile ride, so I was *BEAT*!

Comments: Challenger.

Jerry B., Gary T., Kevin M., Brett K., Brian L., Adam F., and I rode a slightly mangled version of the Thornapple route (out of habit I turned South on Hanna Lk, so we took 68th across, and the only time we saw the river was when we crossed it on 84th st!)
