Comments: Dan G., Dave E., Phil P., Brian L., Lee R., Dan D., and I rode the Duncan Lake Route.... sort of.

When we turned onto Hanna Lake, something in Dan D's bike make a horrible racket like something on the wheel was hitting the frame. We looked it over, but didn't find anything. When we got to East Paris, he had a flat. I stopped to help and to loan him a CO2 inflater, and the rest of the group continued on. Dan found that he had a large roofing nail stuck in his tire.

While Dan and I fixed his flat, the rest of the group made it to the next turn (92nd) and then stopped at the next intersection and called me. I assured them that we were just about finished fixing the flat, and would catch up in a few minutes.

Dan and I got back on the road and caught up with the rest of the group, only to find that Lee was missing (apparently he was off the back of the group when the group made the turn.) While the rest of the group continued on, I went back to see if Lee had missed the turn.

When I got back to East Paris, I had cell phone reception again, so I called Lee to see where he was. He had turned the wrong way on 92nd, and was near Hanna Lake and 108th.

I told him to go East on 108th and then South on Eastern, and he would eventually run into the group as they came around the loop.

I took off down Eastern myself, and got back on the route going backwards, and started time trialing looking for Lee.

Around that time, Brian called me to say that Dan had flatted again, and that they were at 92nd and Kraft. I told them to continue along the route, and to call me again if they didn't see me by the time they got to 108th.

When I got to Gackler, I still hadn't found Lee, so I pulled my phone out and watched the bars until I had reception again, stopped, and called Lee. He had just turned off 108th onto Eastern. I told Lee to keep going South on Eastern, and we would meet up with him shortly.

I continued along Gackler, and in about another 1/2 mile I found the main group. I turned around and joined them, and we made our way back to Patterson, 141st, and Eastern. At 142nd and Eastern, we found Lee.

I hollered to Lee to follow me up Eastern, but he didn't hear me and followed the group across 142nd to Kalamazoo (with me off the back trying to catch up again!)

Going up Kalamazoo, Lee started to fall off the back of the pack, so I dropped back and rode in with him. We mostly managed to keep the main group in sight until we got to 6th st, where they put some distance on us.

We made it back to Challenger just a few minutes behind the group, in plenty of time to chat a bit before the group dispersed.

I don't think any two people had the same stats tonight, but mine were:

Comments: Dan G, Todd R, Dave M, Mike D, Tom B, Brian L, Phil P, Frank B, and I rode the 92nd St Hill Route.

The lead group went straight off the curve on Division, and got back to Division just in time to see the next group turn onto 144th.

The lead group continued on to 142nd and over to Kalamazoo Ave, passing Marie's as the rear of the group came out of Marie's and turned onto 6th st.

The (former) lead group overtook most of the rest of the group, and pacelined up Hanna Lk at about 20-24mph.
