Comments: It was cold and windy but thrilling today on the second spin on my new ebike. I've learned there is a considerable difference between a cadence sensing class 1 ebike (like my old EG Zurich), and the class 3 cadence and torque sensing assistance of the CCX.
The cadence only ebike did not have the ability to assist beyond 20 mph or so, and in fact could not achieve that speed without rider assistance at maximum pedal effort. The CCX has no such need of rider effort (although it does require some pedal input). With the addition of torque sensing, the CCX has the ability to outpace rider effort and zoom the bike beyond 28 mph. |

Comments: An outing On the chilly side of nice. Adding miles in dribs and drabs to close out the year. More testing for a better perspective on the CCX! Getting a solid feel on this fabulous ebike!
Power levels 0, ECO,and 1 should be sufficient for most work commutes. Power levels 2,3,S,and R; For the most part, I restrict the power use to the first three levels of assist. |

Comments: A good test of CCX versatility. The motor consumed about 6 volts of battery energy. There was a momentary peak draw of 1200 watts on a climb out of a short steep paved ravine roadway. Also noted on the ride was a peak temperature of 49° C (120°F) -this is the controller temperature read out. The nominal temp read was closer to 30-35°C/86-95°F |
