| Comments: Maybe a foot of fresh snow in the morning. WOW, most cars having problems, bicycle is the best transportation. Studded tires help. Commute, then post office with load, some park ride. Wish I could ride more. The river is not completely frozen yet. Performed one soft fall after rode into a hidden ice rut. Thinking about temporary installing platform pedals :)

| Comments: Explored the old Vilnius a bit. Much slush. Bought some hardware for a new bicycle antenna, working on a project now. Rode to Zemieji Paneriai, Jocionys, Lazdynai. No ice on roads, wish I could ride my Trek, but it is currently disassembled. |

| Comments: City tour. No park today, terrible conditions, can't ride in heavy slush. Don't have platform pedals now, it is too unsafe going clipless. Rode on streets a lot instead. Pretty wet, but the new shoes help. Typical commute and the post office with load. No geocaching today. Saw one other cyclist near the post office. |

| Comments: Some city tour, a bit of geocaching, replaced Vokieciu container. Commute, post office with load. Getting colder, less slush, easier riding, hope I'll be able to do some park ride tomorrow if the temperature stays below freezing. The HID light died. Unknown reason. Need to ship it to the US to have the bulb replaced. Arrrrgh. Luckily the daylight time is noticeably increasing. Saw one other bicycle (not a cyclist) today. |

| Comments: Great. Got a bit colder, much cleaner, no slush. Commute and the post office with load, some geocaching. Performed the most embarassing fall when could not unclip at an intersection downtown Vilnius. Explored the city, some park ride, too. The HID died yesterday, so shipped it to the US to have lamp bulb replaced. Luckily the days are getting longer. Saw two other cyclists today. |

Comments: Warmed up locally then rode to Gudeliai hillfort, checked the recently planted geocache, fought snow, walked bicycle up every steeper hill, wore out my neoprene overshoes. Surprisingly met another cyclist out in the woods there. Nice weather. Explored the old town a bit, replaced a container at Basteja Micro geocache as ice was building up inside. Did commute, some park ride, Savanoriu LBS, got a new chain and cassette for my winter beater hybrid. Muuuuuch snow again. Fun. Two close calls today. Motorists are crazy. Comments: After changing the chain and the cassette yesterday was forced to change the crankset, too. I use those cheapy sets for the winter, so they wear out fast. Pilaite, Karoliniskes, some park ride prior to commute. Post office with load, some city tour and a lot of park ride, hid Ciurlionio geocache, rode around a bit. Nice weather. | Comments: Rode to the Vytenio post office to pay for the Thursday's packages shipped. Some park ride, hid the cache in Antakalnis, a bit of city tour, park ride again, then rode to the lake Salote, inspected the cache in an island. Did not have fun riding on the lake because of crazy motorists. Got home by dark. The days are getting significantly longer. Saw no other cyclists today, but noticed some bicycle tire tracks on the snow. |

Comments: The Urban Century. Not exactly smelled the roses, but fought the traffic and slush. Tough with a beater winter hybrid still with studded tires. Included warmup, quick ride to the work, bringing the load to the post office, getting the giant backpack back, replacing the brake shoes, hiding a geocache, a bit of hard park ride in the slush and a few casual circles just to hit the century. All done within the city limits, 90 percent in heavy traffic, had two close calls. Definitely not one of the best centuries, but still fun. Saw three other cyclists today.
