Comments: I was once again under prepared for an otherwise nice ride. Rachel rode with me and was patient to a fault. It was a new best distance for her. For my part, even being in poor condition, I was beaten up rather badly. I was riding the roadie (Specialized Allez) for the first time in almost a year. What “training” I had done was on the Trek 7.3 Hybrid. So a new ride posture, new Brooks saddle and an untested saddle height. I should have quit at 25 to save my knee. I did achieve my two goals, finish the ride and determine my limits.
