A real '67 Yenko! Very nice! I had a friend in high school that had a '69 (I think). Later in the 70's I was doing POS terminal installs and set one up in Don Yenko's dealership. Had dinner with his daughter (she hit on me). Send some pics of the car oir post 'em on flickr or something and provide a link!
Oh yeah, great job on the bike too. Wish I had that kind of time to ride (currently mid 1600 range on the board). Rob

I kept lookin for either the hook or the parrot on the Jalapino ride. Thanks for the good ride and a "straight" wheel. Mike the crash guy is OK, as is Arjens (Cervelo). Oh yes bike are OK too!

I am the one in the picture on the right in the white "IN LANCE WE TRUST" t-shirt.

Cycling since 1995. Mostly road with a little hard tail. I usually try to get in 10,000 miles a year.(yeah I am single) The best "stress therapy" out there. Also helps me burn off the "effects" of the Mojitos that I like to drink.
I am very luck to get to train with the group that I do. I ride quite a bit solo but when we group train (Sat, Sun, and 1 night a week) we ride it as though it is a raod race and have a take no prisoners attitude. I also have the privledge of training with John Morstead (former British Jr National Champion). He pushes me like no one else can do. Claim to fame: In August (yes the hottest time of the year here) five of us left down town Houston at 4:00am to ride what was then called the 2C3 ride. It is a 238 mile, 1 day ride around Galveston Bay via down town Houston. We finished at 6:23pm. 14 hours and 23 minutes was total time counting stops. When we started out in the morning the temp. was 84 degrees, at one point it was 113 degrees. It was also a sunny day with typical gulf coast winds of 7 to 15mph. I never had a beer as cold as the one I drank when I got off of the bike. Four out of the five of us also rode 65 miles the next day.

I also this year on Sept 16, 2007 won the Mt Locke hill climb (it is the l'Alpe d'Huez of Texas). It is 1.5 miles of sheer hell with an average grade of 17%. It hits 21% in several places. I rode my Litespeed Liege with a 39/53 front and a 12/27 rear gears riding on one of my sets of Reynolds Stratus DV Carbons. I rode the 1.5 miles in 8:10 beating my closest competition by 7 seconds.

My other love is road racing cars and have had sponsorship from a Chevy dealer for 20 years, I have driven in everything from vintage racing to SCCA Trans Am to IMSA. I love vintage racing the most, and own a real 1967 Yenko that I race here in the south that has been a race car since day 1. For 2007, I am going to back my miles off a little and do about 1100 miles per month. I want to race the race car about 10 weekends this year and spend more time with my incredible girlfriend. I have plenty of support from her as she is also a rider and races inline skates.

click to enlarge 2001 Litespeed Palmares
Road bike
Description:  Litespeed Palmares 57cm, completely Ti-Dyed. The bike is known as the "ghetto cruiser" and also "fag bike" among friends. The reason for the nicknames is the bike was completely Ti-dyed by One Off Titanium. (www.titaniumarts.com). All titanium parts on this bike are dyed. Frame was custom ordered with a few slight geometry changes. 17.1 # @57cm It has a full SRP ti bolt kit that is ti-dyed. The ti stem, King bottle cages, seat post and Chris King cassette lock ring are also ti-dyed. Easton carbon bars. FSA Team Issue carbon cranks with Speedplay X2 pedals. Dura Ace 9 speed triple. It rides on a custom set of Reynolds Stratus DV clinchers with 16F and 24R spokes. Maxxis Columbiere tires (what else). I now only ride it on "special occasions". One very fast bitchin bike.

Lifetime Odometer: 26,843.8 miles

Time Trial Road bike

Lifetime Odometer: 554.4 miles

click to enlarge 2000 Litespeed LIEGE
Road bike
Description:  57cm Lightspeed Liege. My backup bike but I ride it most all of the time. Dura Ace 9 speed. Ti seat post and stem. Easton carbon bars. FSA carbon cranks with Speedplay X2 pedals.17.2 #'s with the CORIMA AERO HP's Clinchers. The Corima's typically stay on the bike full time and is my "training wheelset". I am addicted to deep V aero carbon wheels. They are the stiffest wheels going, and the bike goes where you point it in the corners at any speed. It is like the bike is on rails and you can run 160-170 psi. 17.1 #'s with my race wheels REYNOLDS DV STRATUS Clincher wheelset (regular 20 spoke). 17.3#'s with Mavic Ksyrium TDF "gold spoke" wheelset for when I go to west Texas and ride on a lot of rough roads with too many cattle guards to count.

Lifetime Odometer: 32,724.1 miles

The bike also has McMahon brakes; rear-Power Link, front-Linear Decelerator. It will outstop any bike with V-brakes and most with disk brakes.Wheelset is Chris King hubs with black magic spokes to Velocity Aeroheat rims with Maxxis rubber. The bike weighs in at 21 pounds. Lots of purple (the "in" colour for 1995)
