Since the dawn of time...Pre SIS and 6 speed freewheels-when 10 speeds where not just the cluster but the whole burrito (70's). Bike commuter from day 1, recreational cyclist, mountain bike-some, tandem-some, ultra distance cyclist (double centuries, brevets, etc).

Description:  Purchase used for wife. She doesn't use it so I do :-) Updated to 9 speed STI and Mavic wheels. Not sure of the exact year. This has become my club ride bike for easier club rides. If there is substantial climbing I use the Litespeed.

700c Hybrid bike
Description:  Fair weather commuter bike. Racks, lights, etc. Changed handlebars to an upright bar but reversed and shifters to Gripshift. Changed rear cluster to 11-21 with 1 tooth spacing in top 7 gears. Also changed tires to Avocet cross 700x28...much better for winter/night commuting.

Description:  1 x 10 drivetrain, 1 of 10 bikes I own hence name of "1 of 10". Had Nashbar aluminum mtn bike frame and a Rock Shox suspension fork for 2 years, had a set of wheels for 1 year. Finally decided to build it up. Got an Ultegra rear derail and cog set from a friend (thanks LA). Had a Rock Shock seat post and seat. Had a set of handlebars off the Silhouette. Still needed to buy small parts incl. Judy SE hyd brakes and a XT 10 spd shifter. Added a topeak rack, front and rear lights, single sided SPD pedals. Gearing is 44 x 11-25.

Description:  Foul weather commuter bike...Gates Carbon center trak belt drive, Hyd disc brakes, 11 speed Alfine hub. Aluminum frame, carbon fork. I added fenders, rack, lights etc for commuting.

Single Speed Road bike
Description:  A "HENDERSON" Schwinn! My mom's bike. It's the one my brother and I learned to ride on in the late 60's. Treated as a mountain bike before there were mountain bikes. Now I have it and it's in need of restoration (it was in better shape before we treated it as a mountain bike :-) Locking headset, full fendered, coaster brake and as heavy as my tandem if not heavier. Not sure of the exact year.
