Description: Road bike, with geometry slightly more relaxed than typical road/racing bikes. After 2,700 miles I love it as much as when I first got it. Figure I'll put some serious mileage on it before I move up to the next level. Added Selle SMP Strike Evolution saddle this winter - helped with numbness issues. At 2,021 replaced tires w/Pro3 Michelins. At 2,700 replaced tires with Vittorias (flatted the Mich). At 3,106 got new bearings in the bottom bracket. At 3,340 got new chain, rear derailleur aligned. At 3,426 replaced rear tire (gash caused when knocked off roof of car) with Michelin. At 2,984 spoke pulled out of rim. Began using loaner rear wheel. At 4,108 got new wheels (105 hubs, Arrowhead rims), new brake pads, basic tune up including new chain.
At 4,713 miles replaced both tires with Michelin Krylion (yellow). At 5,303.8 miles replaced chain & bottom bracket bearings, wheels trued. At 6,325 replaced rear tube and tire.
At 7,418 replaced front tube and tire.
At 7,624 got new chain and cables. Rear wheel also trued.
At 7,792 got new rear cassette and new seat post, front wheel trued.
At 8,303 replaced rear tire, had rear wheel repaired under warranty (spoke pulled out). At 8,899 miles replaced bottom bracket bearings. At 9,201 replaced both tires and tubes (flatted rear, front worn). At 9,126 replaced battery in computer. At 10,628.5 replaced tubes and tires, and installed BOB skewer.
At 10,714 miles replaced chain and derailleur cables.
