I started riding in March 2002. My first year was spent riding a Target Tank. This was a $69.99 hybrid bike. I only entered one event that year, the Tulsa, OK MS150. Prior to doing the 150 mile ride, my longest ride was 35 miles. It was a long weekend.

In 2003 I upgraded to a Giant Road Bike which I rode for 2 years until I crashed the bike in July of 2005. In July of 2005 I upgraded to a Trek Road bike. I try to log between 1,500-3,000 miles each year depending on weather conditions.
