Started riding in 2001 in Florida on a comfort bike by Specialized, Bought a Cannondale road bike in 2002 and joined a club down in Florida. Peg and I became snowbirds in 2006 and I found the Blackhawk club in 2007. Bought a Felt bike for use up north. Now we have the best of both worlds, summer all year and club rides in both places. Started logging miles up north in the summer of 2008.

Road bike
Description:  Bought this bike as my first effort at true road biking. It is restricted to riding in Florida where we spend our winters. The bike originally had 700x28 tires but after a couple of years I switched to 700x23. The bike has held up well since I only ride it on paved trails and roads. It is sort of a hybrid since it has wide forks and could handle larger tires and rims. I substituted straight handle bars, sissy brakes and lever shifters for the standard equipment but should not have. The bike is all aluminum, 58 cm high.

Description:  This bike belongs top my son Mike. he bought it used from Jim Lowe this year. It is a 58cm bike and the way it is set up is too small for me. Have to get way down on the bars when the seat is high enough. Can't take much of that at my "advanced" age.
