History:

I returned to "serious" biking in 2004 after visiting my son in Colorado, and seeing so many older bikers competing in a 50 mile mountain race.
I had been using a generic mountain bike for going around town and errands. I dusted off my old, too big for me Ross 12 speed hybrid and began doing longer rides of 15 miles or so, with no purpose, just for riding. I have been hooked since.
