I've been on a bicycle all of my life, but really started the bicycle lifesyle in 1989. I was serving in Germany where bicyling is a mode of transportation, great fests, beer, wine and cycling. Commuter and touring cycling followed and then I found myself totally addicted to my Surly Steamroller Fixed-Gear.

My Surly was stolen in 1/2010 but fixed-gear riding is my preference. I mostly commute to work and continue to ride the LiveStrong Challenge in Philly every August.

I ride for the Lance Armstrong Foundation every day for my sister who has battled Hodgkins Lymphoma for the past nine years and for my Father who died on November 3, 2009 of Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) which totally sucks!!! I really dislike the Yankees now.

I ride for strength, discipline, and mental sanity. !
