Road bike
Description:  59cm, yellow, 3Al/2.5V Ti frame, mostly Campy Veloce, Campy Centaur CT 50/34 crankset and 10-speed Centaur rear derailleur, Look carbon fork, Egg Beater pedals, Dimension threaded stem, Nitto Randonneur bars, Shimano 105 headset, Thomson Elite seatpost, Velocity Aerohead and Mavic Open Pro rims, 25 mm Continental Gatorskin tires, Carradice SQR Trax bag, Schmidt SON dynohub, White Industries H2 rear hub, Edelux headlight, Planet Bike Mars 4.0 taillights.

If it had fender clearance, it would be perfect. But then it would have cantilever brakes, which would make it imperfect again.

Touring Road bike
Description:  60cm, dark blue and Celeste, steel, Campy Mirage, Mavic MA3 rims, Egg Beater pedals, Tektro cantilevers, Fizik Nisene saddle, Topeak rear rack.

This bike is hard to categorize. Bianchi called it a touring bike, but it doesn't have really low gears or long chainstays or bulletproof bar-end shifters or double front eyelets. It would be a nice rain bike, if I got around to mounting fenders.

Full Susp XC Mountain bike
Description:  M / 17". Shimano STX 8-speed RD, STX top-pull FD, 11-28 cassette, XT shifters and brake levers, V brakes, BB-LP26 bottom bracket, LX rear hub. Formula front hub. Mavic 238 rims. Rock Shox Quadra 21R fork. RST rear shock. Tioga Psycho K/S tires (summer), Nokian Mount & Ground studded tires (winter).

I'm still a comically bad mountain biker.

Fixed Gear Road bike
Description:  60cm, 1970s or 1980s Azuki 10-speed converted to fixed, 52x20, 27" wheels (Weinmann Al rim, Formula hub, 32 spoke), Schwalbe Marathon tires, front Shimano long-reach dual-pivot sidepull, Shimano brake levers, Nashbar drop bars, Selle Italia saddle, Crank Brothers Eggbeater MXR pedals, Ascent rear rack, Zefal Gizmos to attach bottle cages.

I turned this old 10-speed into a fixed gear a few years ago. It's a nice comfy fast commute bike, now that it finally has straight aluminum rims for reliable squeal-free braking.

Lifetime Odometer: 3,234.2 miles

Hardtail XC Mountain bike
Description:  L / 21", red, 7-speed, thumb shifters, V-brakes, Altus / Alivio, Blackburn rear rack

The first bike I bought as an adult. I commuted on it for a couple of years, then decided to get a road bike, and only used it for occasional off-road rides afterward.

Crashed on the rear derailleur and bent the non-replaceable aluminum (therefore not really safe to bend back) derailleur hanger. So this bike is currently unridable. Don't buy an aluminum mountain bike with a non-replaceable derailleur hanger.
