History:

Got "into" cycling when my college room mate convinced me to go along when he was buying a bike. I got one then too and started riding.

After a couple of years my time on bike dropped off and it became a seasonal thing for me, doing a couple of event rides every couple of years.

In late2002/early 2003 I started commuting by bike (~9mi one-way) on a fairly consistant basis. I also started riding with the local club.
In 2003 in did 4000mi (including a 20 mile ride on Dec31 to get over the hump), evenly split between my road bike and my commuter.
Early in 2004 the frame on my commuter broke and I got a new one after a few of months of shopping. (The Rivendell) Between the end of April and the end of Dec I put about 3000 miles on the Atlantis and only 1400 on my roadie.

In 2005, I finally enrolled in RUSA and did my first brevet and ended up doing a full SR series and more.

I would like to do some extended bike touring. But still (Jan2008) have not gotten around to it.

My kids (BikeJ Members timothy and emma) are now biking with me and we can even get my wif eto come along on occassion.
