I guess at Fishlake I found the only flat bit of Yorkshire! My usual rides involve 1000ft+ of climbs in 20 miles - It was great to find this little haven. - Rik

Hi Dick, good to hear from you. Had a really good time up in MI, even though we could have skipped the long drive home. We are headed to PA this weekend for the covered bridge ride. Its only 62 miles but 3000 riders come out and have a good time. Then its off the TN mext month. Looks like we might be doing Bubba again, can't quite swing the indoor camping formthe whole ride. We're back from TN and I am pretty whipped. It was a pretty hilly ride this year. We had a few climbs that were hitting 14% and one very long climb that was very much like CO except it was only 4 miles instead of 10 miles. That climb was only about 6-7% so it wasn't that bad. First day I got 11 miles out and broke my pedal and had to be sagged to the campground. Bubba was so kind as to let me borrow his truck and drive back into Nashville (about an hour away) and buy a new set of pedals. They didn't have any vendors on the ride to buy them from. Now it's back to work till we go to Bike Safari in the spring. Maybe we will see you around someplace in 2008. S&S

History:

Started cycling in earnest at age 16 after wrecking my mother's car three times. My father decided that I should go back to the bike! I cycled off and on as time permitted but really got involved in 1981 when I returned to Jacksonville, IL and joined a local bike club. I made the move to recumbents in 1996.
