Description: Voodoo steel frame roadie with S&S couplers, 7 speed shimano brifters; mavic wheels
bought used. Tired of the hassle and expense of renting a bike when I travel.
Replaced the wheels and casette and chain before the Fall trip to Monterey September 2015 - better, and dialing in teh brakes a little is helping. Still had an incident with teh bars flipping - need to be sure those bolts stay tight

2008 Lynskey R320

Description: Picked up used 11/14/12. Definitely an n+1 purchase, but I've admired their frames. Stiff stiff bb is a treat.
So the Ultegra set up that was on it when I bought it used was OK, but the wheels were a little flat in spots, and I have learned to love Campy bits, and I have another frame that can use the Ultegra group. So I splurged on some new wheels - White T11 hubs laced to Mavic open pro - 36-32; campy chorus 11 speed group; 3T bar, stem and seat post.
New chain and cassette September 2015 - 5,000+ miles of commute slop killed the old one :-)

Colnago Ovalmaster titanium frame with stars and stripes paint; Campy chorus 10 speed groupo; Campy Proton Differential rims on campy hubs (24 rear 22 front spokes - see if they hold up to my azz); 3T Forgie bar and stem.

2007 Salsa Casserolle

Description: Bought this used on a bit of a whim so I could get back on a steel roadie. Interesting build with Velocity rims, SRAM shifters, and a mix of SRAM and Campi components. Light weight steel frame.
Swirched the Ultegra bits from the Lynskey on to the Salsa for a bit. Something isn't right with those wheels.
Now (10-14) changing it to a single-speed-flip/flop fixed. Fenders for the winter - might be moved to primary for the winter if I like it.
Finished conversion this weekend 11-9-14 (took a while to get around to it). Mileage is currently 918. Fenders are not on yet because of front tire clearance. Need another option. Different frame?

Description: Bought this used on a whim while trying to replace an old Trek hard tail. It did not turn out to be a great idea and has gotten little use. I need to do something about the lousy Coda hydraulic brakes before I'll spend much time riding it. [Edit - took it for a big 1,800 foot climb in the mountains - OK till coming down with lousy brakes. I'm going to put some v-brakes on and forget about the hydraulics]

[Update - 7/28/12 - as part of the deal struck with my better half when I bought the Colnago, the R600 went to Phoenix Bikes - a charity that teaches kids to work on bikes, ride, earn a bike, etc. She'll be missed but I hope she finds a good home.]

Description: Bought this "New Old Stock"
It is now dead - rode hard and put away wet is a bad deal for a steel frame with an aluminum seat post. Got it stuck - tried several means to remove it. Stripped its components for another frame. I might still try dry ice, but I think I am pretty much hosed.
