Your entry fee will help to support the maintenance and preservation of the historic (opened 1929) Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb, IL.

Our bicycle ride offers four 25-mile loops. Loop 1 starts at the Egyptian Theater and goes to Maple Park, IL. From the well-stocked central rest stop, you can ride any (or all) of three 25-mile loops before returning to the Egyptian Theatre. There will be radio-dispatched SAG support on all loops.

For registered riders, we offer an end-of-ride meal featuring soup, BBQ and other sandwiches, veggie tray, cheese tray, relish tray, fruit tray, assorted desserts, and other refreshments. The end-of-ride meal cost for non-riders is $5.00.

Commemorative T-shirts, featuring the ride logo, will be available for pick up on the day of the ride. Preregistered riders have the option to purchase a T-shirt ($10.00 by 9/11 or $12.00 thereafter) for pickup on the day of ride. All others are first-come-first-served while supplies last.

Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 a.m. All routes close at 4:00 p.m. The end-of-ride meal starts at 11:00 a.m. and closes at 4:30 p.m. Secure-area bike parking is available during meal hours.

Since the ride starts and ends at the Egyptian Theatre, we invite you to take a look around our fully restored historic landmark and see what we have to offer---low cost movies, art shows, and live events. Your support will help to maintain this historic local treasure as a functioning community asset. The past comes alive at the Egyptian Theatre.

Registration will be at the Egyptian Theatre (135 N. Second St., DeKalb, IL, 60115). There is free on-street parking and several free parking lots within two blocks of the theatre.

Mail-in registration forms and online registration start on May 1st. Preregister by September 11th for $20.00. After September 11th, registration is $25.00. Registration is free for children under 16 ($5.00 after September 11th). Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult during the ride.

The ride goes rain or shine. No refunds. The Preservation of the Egyptian Theatre, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, therefore your entry fee (less $5.00) is tax deductible if you itemize.

The Lincoln Inn Family Restaurant at 240 E. Lincoln Hwy (about 1 block from the theatre) opens at 5:00 am for early arrivals desiring a breakfast meal featuring fresh baked breads, rolls, and pies. (Not included in ride fee.)
