Beginning in Loveland at 9 a.m. from The Dam Store at the mouth of Big Thompson Canyon on Hwy. 34, we'll climb the canyon to Drake, hang a right, keep our eyes peeled for the yellows/oranges/reds of autumnal aspen, stop for a cinnamon roll fix in Glen Haven, tackle Devil's Gulch together with our sugar buzz, glide into Estes Park for lunch where we will listen for elk bugling (or just munching the grass around the town library), and then, weather permitting, ride up into Rocky Mountain National Park via Fall River Entrance Station to Horseshoe Park which should be particularly beautiful this time of year (Park admission is $10 for bicycles).
