Lots of problems with the old thread.

Howard created the original TIB with these profound words:

Tell us about your latest bicycle-related purchase.

--or--

Tell us what you're considering for your next bicycle-related purchase and let the vast experience and brain power of BikeJournal advise you.

Today I bought a new TIB thread from Slo_Joe...

I did buy 12 new tubes with removable valve cores the other day - it was cheaper by the dozen, and with my luck, I need them.

Okay, it was last weekend but I bought a VDO M5 computer with the cadence counter option. My old Filzer was not reading consistently and had to be replaced. I'm planning to see if there are any long gloves still in shops tomorrow.

Good fix on this new thread TIB = I have avoided posting anything on it cause it was very awkward to use.

Okay so many of you may know that this past February I bought a used Catrike Expedition trike from a fellow in Florida. Well, last month I bought a used Bacchetta Carbon Corsa from a fellow in Ohio. I have taken it out for about 5 spins so far (strictly fair weather with this one) but after making as many adjustments as i can think of I am going to replace both the euromesh seat and the handle bars. the seat is just way to squishy for me and I need longer handlebars.

Here is the bike:

Geesh they must have lots of glass trash down your way. I haven't gone thru 12 tubes since 1992, but then I don't ride the miles you do.

I have bought lots of stuff lately.

1. A new giro mt bike helmet on sale at Nashbar
2. 2016 Tamland 1 from Raleigh using their Corporate discount code for $799 versus $1799 last year from a LBS
3. A new Sigma BC 23.16 STS cycling computer. I called Sigma and this is the same model as my ROX 8.1 that was discontinued. They said it wasn't in the States yet. No problem I Googled it and found it in a Sports Shop in the Netherlands. With the $29.95 for freight it still only cost what my older computer cost probably 5 years ago or more $150. Can somebody please explain how it came from the Netherlands in 5 days and sometimes you can't get something in the States in a week
4. Carbon water bottle cages for my new gravel grinding bike.

Other things but that gives you a feel of some things I bought.

I bought a new battery for my Di2. I got three years and over 13000 miles out of the old one, so I'm not complaining, but it's one of the times I'm glad I work in an LBS because they aren't cheap.

Slo Joe: Tell us why you purchased Schwalbe tires over all the others.
