Okay, there's Breaking Away and American Flyers. Both fine, no complaints. Are there others? I'm trying to find something to watch when I spin on the trainer at night. Anybody have a favorite? Are any of the race documentary-style movies good? If so, what's the best source for them? thanks.

Quicksilver has one to two good scenes (unless you count Bacon riding/dancing in the apartment with his girlfriend). Other than what you already posted, I don't know of any.

I like to watch cycling races that you can get from www.worldcycling.com. Le Tour de France, Paris-Roubaix, and Tour of Flanders are good cycling races to watch.-----------Much better than the cycling movie everyone forgets about, "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure". (Ofcourse, you got to admit that you would search all across this country too if your bicycle was stolen).

Okay, I ordered the 2001 TdF from them this morning. I'll see how that goes. Too bad I can't get these things on Netflix!

Yeah, I just saw OLN advertising their cycling coverage... Check the listings at OLN's website. DirecTV carries this channel in their base package, but I'm not sure about other providers... I don't think I had it with AT&T cable's base package.

Cable, no. I keep hearing about OLN and their coverage, though. I'm just afraid that if I get cable, I'll wind up going overboard watching it, like when I bought a PlayStation2 and had to sell it to a kid down the street because I was playing it so much, I quit doing anything else.

get cable and block out everything but OLN. then set the timer on your VCR and tape all the bicycle races you can for a summer. after that get rid of cable and you'll have plenty of races to watch while you ride your trainer. last year OLN showed all of the 2001 TDF in one day. I threw in a tape and got 6 hours of TDF to ride my trainer too.

An animated art-house movie called: "The Triplets of Belleville." This movie just came out recently, and was just nominated for an animated oscar this year. From the title, and the first 15 minutes, it doesn't seem like it's bicycling related. It's a quirkie, poignant, odd, and overall great movie.
