When riders have reached or exceeded their goal, their goal cell is changed to a dark green background in the table.

The 2014 Fifty Mile Challenge.

A valid fifty is:
1. A ride of 50.0 miles or more in any one day or a combinations of several rides in one day.
2. Only one fifty per day may be counted.
3. Rides of longer distances that qualify for other challenges can also be posted here.
4. If not obvious from the description provided, please designate rides as to type; for example: ROAD or ROLLERS or TRAINER or OFF ROAD or other such descriptor.
See post #2 for a sample post
Get out and ride! Put some miles (kilometers) on the bike and have some fun. Pictures would be nice as well!
The ghosted value to the right of 2014 miles ridden is the 2013 miles ridden.

Statistics comparison to previous years.

Markiansj started this thread.
SloJoe continued it.
This is year three for me.

Yeah, I'm in for 2014. I'll sign up for a half century a week through the end of July (31). After that I'll be like Cap'n Slo_Joe is now, out to sea and unsure of riding opportunities.

I'll wait to see what GeeWizMan sets as his FINAL goal before I set mine!

It's only November!

But 66 has kept me motivated for the last couple years--I'll try it again.

Thanks for taking this on for another year, tojesky.

Well, I was gonna wait to see how many 50's you are doing before I post a number. You beat me fair and square this year and I'm not sure I can do more than I did this year.

Sounds like a trick to me! But, let's make sure one of those halfs or, maybe, even a metric are ridden together like this year - your territory or mine.

I'll put in for 35 half centuries for 2014. If GWM signs up for 36 he's on his own.

What the heck, put me down for 52.

Jan and Feb can be cold up in the NW, but the rest of the year should allow me to make up for it
