Just riding along and a deer gets bounced off the oncoming car. Luckily no bicyclists were hit.

The photos of the abandoned railroad bridges are my favorites. While touring the Erie Canal we got to cross a couple of them.

When did you donthe Cycle the Erie Canal Tour?
I know a couple that did this ride this year as it was an anniversary ride and they said they would ride this again in the future and everyone should experience this once. I believe by 2020 alot of the gaps will be closed so less road riding and more canal or trails will be in place. I may wait until then to attempt this journey. Also it will connect with a trail from NYC to almost Canada when complete. What a better way to tour the state.

My son and I did the Erie Canal in 2008 and 2012. Just the two of us. We are planning to do it again in June of 2019. We have done a few others but the Erie Canal is the favorite for both of us.
