I came across an article that ranks each of the 50 states in terms of how nasty the winters are. I can say 2 things about it. 1). I told you Michigan was horrible and 2). At least I don't live in Minnesota.

How bad is it where you live? As I write this it is -5F out there and I might go for a short ride, but maybe not.

The article is below but please be warned that it contains adult language.

It has been record or near record cold for weeks here. Last night when I finished my ride, it was 10 degrees with a 15 mph wind. However, we may break 60 next Thursday! I might have to be off work that afternoon.

Have you seen the news about the weather in Boston this week. The snow finally stopped last night and now temps are falling through the teens to sub-zero for the next few days. Flooding in the downtown area is about to freeze and won't melt for a week. Oh I love New England so much.
I'm surprised we were in the top ten I really don't think it's all that bad

Here in northern Illinois, so far it hasn't been ideal. We don't have nearly as much snow as I'd like to see, but at least it has been cold enough to not melt what little snow we do have. That said, I prefer temps in the 20's rather than the single digit and sub zero temps we've had so far.

Last 2 mornings have been chilly, I let it warm up to high 30's before going out, didn't want to go out in the 20's.

I don't have all the warm gear, and even if I did, I'd have to take a big bag to stuff all the clothes in when it warmed up.

We had a terrible snow winter for 2016. While 2017 has almost no snow (ski areas are at 50% of where they should be) there is a lot of cold rain. I can bike in cold. I can bike in rain. Can't do COLD RAIN!!

I did have to suffer for 20 days in Hawaii but no bike.

Same here only just mid 50s. Tomorrow, they predict it will be only 2 degrees (above 60). Where did all my humid 90 degree days go to anyways.

70 degrees forecast for Sunday however, they give a 60% chance of rain on Sunday (night).

Rub it in Glenn, rub it in. I just finished a 10 mile ride where the temp went from 1F to 1.9F with winds at 16 mph gusting to 24 mph giving a windchill of -19F. On the plus side, I had the park all to myself (that might mean something) and I saw 5 deer up close and personal. Now, I am off to get a swim in.

Yes, I have been paying attention. How much snow did you get?
