 Why I Commute
Riding my bike to work helps me keep it simple. And I really enjoy journal(ing) the experiences from time to time. I bike for statistics as well as to keep track of my health progressing through this process of living.

This week my weight is 237 pounds (down from 245 in January). This past month (May) I had 3 days where my inbound commute speed averaged over 18 mph. In May I did my fastest inbound commute yet at 18.64 mph on the 8+ mile ride.

Checking back a little more today, I noticed entries in my journal from 2006 (June 19th), and 2007 (June 7th) where I managed in bound commutes (8.13 miles) at 18.17 and 18.44 mph. There is an outside possibility that a 19+ mph average is doable this year.
