No sun today with light clouds and occasional showers passing through. Wind is still a major factor but on the plus side it is still coming from the south. Did two long tempo climbs today will no steep sections. Maximum grade probably was a short section of eight percent. Had a tailwind through Watkins and up the climb on SR 14. Didn't have any problems with the lights or traffic through Watkins as it is too early for tourists. Felt good on the tailwind assisted climb and kept the cadence high and heart rate reasonable. Kept a good pace with the tailwind on the flats until the second climb into the wind out of Rock Stream. Surprised myself with another good tempo climb and crested in Reading Center with a respectable 15.1. Fun ended there though as even though the remainder of the ride was downhill and flat, the headwind put a damper on both the speed and enjoyment of the ride. Light rain started to fall with a quarter mile felt to go but it wasn't enough to get me nor the road wet.
