This morning I drove to Furman and met Ken, Steve S, and Don Y to ride to Cendy’s Cafe up on highway 11. I knew that the climbing would be a lot for me, but I just couldn’t keep up with the group. They were patient waiting for me after every climb, but I hate slowing down a group. We rode to Cendy’s Cafe and Steve Y was waiting for us and Steve S’s brother Mike came over since he lives right across the street from it. I had a BLT plate with fries and slaw and a bottle of Gatorade. We rode back a different way and stopped to look at the water flowing in a couple of places. We followed River Road to Pumpkintown Road and took it back to Marietta. Then we took Geer Highway back to the north end of the trail and followed it back to Furman. I saw Nowell and Ramona at the north end.
