 Johnson Hollow
Rained all day yesterday and ended up having to ride the computrainer. Had a flat tire though and only got a few minutes of spinning in before calling it a day. Today was another trip through Johnson Hollow just to spin the legs a bit and check up the bike before packing it up and heading to PA for a metric century tomorrow. State has cut new speed bumps on the new pavement on the way to Millport. It appears that the road has been widened a bit, and there is actually a good amount of room on the shoulder to ride now. It would be nice if they would clean up the refuse from the grinding, but I guess I shouldn't complain too much as now I don't actually have to ride in the road despite the speed bumps. Wicked tailwind on the way to Millport and had a good average despite low intensity. Stood up the entire steep section of Johnson Hill and legs felt good. Wind wasn't bad up the hollow until the last couple of miles that turned my nose directly into the wind. Legs still felt strong and only had to push through a couple of miles before the long downhill into Watkins. Another two miles of tailwind returned me to the start.
