| Comments: EV, Airpark. Latte at Cafe Sophie. Flat tire on Beechcraft Ave. No pump. Had to walk home. Only took half an hour. This is the first flat I've ever gotten on Schwalbe tires. I've had them on 3 bikes and gone well over 20000 miles.
Diagnosing this one was easy. Great big staple stuck right in. I don't suppose any tire would have repelled that. Must have picked it up in the Airport industrial park.
Btw, the Harley dealer over there is gone. Claude says they have gone out of business, not moved. H-D fortunes are waning across the country. |

Brake pads on the front were more than 2 yrs old with 6469 miles on them. They still had some lining left, but not much. Now, at 8960, they are new.
There was a tiny bit of play sometimes when I squeezed the brake. Felt a bit like when the couplers weren't good and tight. (They are, in fact good and tight.) Now I don't feel any play. |
