Comments: Club ride to Blue Diamond. I did better than I thought I would after ten days off.
The bike felt easier to push and seamed to roll easier. Maybe due to the inner tube I found stuck to the tire. I replaced the tube and put a lot of talc into the tire. |
| Weather Conditions: Cold and windy. I thought I could go bare legs, but there were places where I was COLD. |

| Comments: Weird ride to Boulder City. Shifter battery went out and took longer than it should have to change. Must have pushed wrong button on Garmin and had to save ride and start new. I didn't clip in fully so foot slipped and banged shin into handlebar. Got a flat climbing Georgia street. took two tries and two tubes to fix it. Then banged my shin a second time. Glad this ride is over. |
| Weather Conditions: No wind to start, but it did come up a bit on the way back. Mayby 8 to 10 mph. Start at 48°

| Comments: Started the Split Ends ride, but had a flat. I needed to know where the problem was, so I got picked up. Turned out blow out from a patched tire. ( not tube) Apparently a tube patch is not as strong as a tire. |

| Comments: Solo Split Ends. Casual pace. Testing tire for flats. Had a blowout a couple days ago just due to a tire with a hole. The patch didn't stand up. Today's ride was with older tire, but without holes. Worked fine. |

| Comments: Club ride through Red Rock Canyon. I seemed to be riding faster than usual, but so did the others. I fell behind on some of the hills, but caught up on the descents. I coasted a lot and parts of the ride I even braked to avoid hitting the others. I tried to stay with them on a later hill and hut my left quad. I think it will be ok in a few days. |

| Comments: Solo Split Ends. Recovery ride for yesterday. I pulled my left quad, so today I was babying it. I tried to use other muscles and just let the quad soft pedal. |

| Comments: To Boulder City solo. I felt strong going out, but coming back against the wind was tough. My left quad is feeling good, but I still didn't push it. Headwinds on the return wore me out. |

| Comments: Started to Mountain's Edge, but the winds were brutal. I cut it short. This was a test ride as I adjusted my leg reach. I am getting shorter as I age and needed the adjustment. It felt too close at first, but I think i need time to adjust myself. |

Comments: Club ride Split Ends with about 20 riders.
Moderate effort for most. Others had more trouble against the wind. Did a few sprints. coasted downhill with the wind at 33 mph.
Legs a little sore where legs join hips. I think due to new length adjustment. |
