Comments: KATY Trail with John and Matt. Hermann to St. Charles. Heavy rain forecast, but only got a few drops while in the saddle. Rain did start just after we loaded the bikes on the car and were heading into our B&B.
My odo only said 62, but GPS said 65. Odo probably needs re-calibration.
Had a nice lunch at a tavern in Marthasville. After that, John got the hang of drafting and we hung together at a pretty good pace. |

Comments: Java Nation for coffee. Place has a great vibe. People are enjoying one another's company more than looking at their phones. But the coffee was not very good. It tasted flat and stale. Maybe just a bad day.
Rode over on Watkins Mill and Longdraft, back on Muddy Branch. I don't particularly like Longdraft. Seems like I'm always leading a parade. Muddy Branch wasn't so hot, either. Quite busy. Not really a good bike lane heading this way. Too narrow, and the adjoining motor lane is also narrow.
Was about 6 miles over and 9 miles back. |
