History:

Purchased first bike, 1992 Trek 1000, on November 30th 2010. I rode it around my neighborhood and along a few trails for 3-5 miles at a time. Later in January of 2011 I upgraded to a 2007 K2 Mach 1, at least what I thought was an upgrade. Around that time I learned of Metro Atlanta Cycling Club out of Atlanta, Georgia. My first ride with the club launched me up to 30 miles from my previous 18 mile max when I was riding alone.
Later in about April or May of 2011, I purchased my first brand new bike frame, an 2007 IBEX Aprisa Elite 6600 60cm frame. I tranferred my low grade Shimano Sora drive train along with my Bontrager X lite wheel set to the Ibex frame. As of Aug 24th, 2011, I have completed around 700 to 800 miles, though I can only account for about 670 miles on my Sporty Pal Pro android program.
MAC has done wonders for me as I have dropped my 6'3'' frame from 244lbs in January to 227lbs and I've completed rides of up to 60 miles all because of the great group of guys at Metro Atlanta Cycling Club.
Future:
I'm looking to purchase a 62cm Felt or LOOK carbon bike with an Ultegra or above groupo to continue to enhance my riding. Additionally, I'm looking to complete my first Century in 2011(Accomplished) |
