History:

Been riding as much as possible on a regular basis since my freshman year in high school. I did not get a "real" road bike until my senior year of college - been really tacking on the miles since then.

Check out my new side project at www.wherestherack.org - a project to map out all bicycle racks in Peoria, IL - and beyond!!!
Bicycles
2014 Trek Fuel 7
Full Susp XC 29er Mtn bike

Lifetime Odometer: 16.9 miles

2008 Litespeed Siena
Road bike
Description:  Had the opportunity to buy this one from some family friends. While I haven't made the final decision to buy it yet - I think I'm gonna sway that way.

Lifetime Odometer: 2,184.0 miles

2005 Burley Samba
Tandem Mountain bike
Description:  I purchased this bike in 2005 off Ebay for quite a bargain ($500 dollars) - had to drive to Indy to pick it up, but worth the trip. Not a bike you are going to go fast on, but sturdy and sure.

Lifetime Odometer: 125.6 miles

1970 Falcon San Remo
Single Speed Road bike
Description:  This is a bike given to me by a friend and long-time Peoria cyclist that I made while working at the CAT Mapleton plant in 2008-2009. The bike was purchased by him in the late 1970's, but never really ridden. As a geared 10 speed bike, it was very heavy and not that useful - however - as a stripped-down single speed bike is extremely efficient and fun to ride. The rear wheel, tires, chain and cog are the only parts I had to buy new. Brake lever comes from my first mountain bike, handlebars come from my dad's old bike, stem from an old road bike, front wheel from a friend's bike, cranks from my first road bike, etc..frankenbike all over the place!

Lifetime Odometer: 924.2 miles

1998 GT Edge
Road bike
Description:  I purchased the frame off Ebay, and built it up with various parts I had laying around my shop. Keep in mind - this is a true GT bike from their hayday as a manufacturer in California - not the capital venture group that just owns the name now...a true classic.

Lifetime Odometer: 3,203.5 miles

2005 Specialized Allez Comp
Road bike
Description:  I bought this bike off Craigslist from a guy down in Arkansas, who turned out to be the corporate safety director for Tyson Foods - funny! Great bike - managed to find an identical bike for a friend after I purchased mine - we call them "ole' Blue"

Lifetime Odometer: 5,527.5 miles

2005 Trek 4500
Hardtail XC Mountain bike
Description:  Just a simple mountain bike I bought new at Illinois Cycle in Peoria, IL so I could ride when my other friends wanted to. Rarely ride it now.

Lifetime Odometer: 20.0 miles

2004 Surly Steamroller
Fixed Gear Road bike
Description:  Another frame that I bought off Ebay and built up from various parts laying around my bike shop - this is a fixed gear bike - fun to ride around town.

Lifetime Odometer: 613.0 miles

2001 Cannondale Road Warrior
700c Hybrid bike
Description:  I bought this bike new in 2002 from Nor Door Bicycle Shop in Fish Creek, Wisconsin on the way back from a Caterpillar business trip. Between friends - this is known as my Chuck Norris bike - only because I use it to take on cross-country adventures where the roads are typically not paved.

Lifetime Odometer: 2,586.2 miles
