I've been riding since I was 3 years old in one form or another. Took off from 1996 - 2004, since I met this really good-looking lady and her two kids. Now she's my good-lookin' lady and there's three kids instead of two :-)

Road bike
Description:  Picked up this 2007 frameset in early 2009. Built up by the LBS but never ridden. Swapped my parts onto it and left my Roubaix as a trade-in. I needed the 52 instead of the 54, and wanted the stiffness of the Tarmac design for crit racing.

Fixed Gear Road bike
Description:  Fixed gear...decided to breathe a little life into old Spartacus and let him see concrete again, instead of just trainer duty :)

Currently running 39/15, both brakes are still on for road safety, but not much else. Kept all the Shimano 600 parts just in case it ever needs to go back to geared.

MAN THIS THING IS FUN!!! If you want twice the workout in half the time, go fixed gears :)

Road bike
Description:  retired in February 2009...see Specialized Tarmac.

Bought in May 2006. First new bike in 18 years :-)

Entry level carbon with Zerks inserts. 105/Ultegra mixture, Look pedals, Shimano wheels. Added some Airstryke profile bars for all the headwinds I get to play in. Had the LBS switch the triple to a double for smoother shifting, since I've never had or needed a granny gear. Oh...shorter stem too.

700 x 23C Specialized Armadillo, front, 2,286 miles

Road bike
Description:  Retired to trainer duty...then converted to fixed gear...

Man, I've put a lot of miles on this thing since '88....pretty much stock except for tires, tubes, pedals and aerobars

More details: It's steel Frame & Fork, Shimano 600 components, shifters (index) on the downtube, and Shimano pedals. The original pedals offered no float and just about destroyed my knee before I figured out what the problem was. Mismatched rims, Continential tires (310 grams each...ugh).

Lifetime Odometer: 12,823.1 miles

Tires:
700 x 23C Specialized Armadillo All Condition (R), rear, 1,101 miles

BMX bike
Description:  Got this when I was 16 or 17 and still racing.

I'm a geezer now and have fixed it back up so I can go play in the dirt with the local punks ;)

I do hit one of our tracks on rare occassions, just to give the youngsters something to laugh at!

Lifetime Odometer: 10.5 miles
