Began riding in July, 2007. Was inspired by (1) video of a man who does ironman triathlons with his completely paralyzed son (pulls him in a rubber raft, runs pushing him in special wheelchair & rides bike with son in special seat on front of bike); and (2) bet to see who among us and another couple could lose most weight.. Started on $100 WalMart mountain bike. Now I'm doing 70+ mile rides on my Trek 1500. Have lost 36 pounds so far. Woohoo.... |
