I received my first 10-speed back in 1970. I rode everywhere in the Central Illinois area until I turned 16. I held onto that 10-speed until I purchased a used Puch in 1990. I started cycling again on a consistent basis. At the same time, my wife began cycling with me. In 1998, we purchased our first tandem (Trek T100). In May of 2002, we purchased our second tandem (Trek T2000). Between my wife and I, we have one tandem (2002 Trek T2000), two road bikes (2006 Sab Monte Cristo and 2007 Specialized Ruby), and one commuter bike (2008 Raleigh Sojourn. My wife and I also participate in triathlons and duathlons. |
