I used to get most of my miles from bike commuting, which I've done since 1988, but my current job is only a little over 2 miles from my house, so I have to take long cuts to get any decent mileage in.
Highest mileage year was 1996 with 10,004 miles.
Longest solo ride was May 18, 1996 with 252 miles in 20 hours (Potomac Pedalers 400k brevet).

Road bike
Description:  My husband's bike, which he lets me borrow (reluctantly) if my bike is in the shop.

Lifetime Odometer: 626.3 miles

Road bike
Description:  This is my fair-weather bike. I bought it used after I crashed my Airborne, but now that I have the Airborne back on the road, I don't ride the Cervelo that much. I like to keep the bike clean and dry and don't like worrying about the paint job, so I don't often ride it places where it has to be locked up.

Lifetime Odometer: 3,216.5 miles

Road bike
Description:  I love this bike because it's tough, light, and I don't have to worry about the paint job. I used to have a seatpost rack on it until I got into an accident and the seatpost got a crimp in it. Now I just use a backpack for toting stuff.

Lifetime Odometer: 28,134.8 miles

Tandem Mountain bike
Description:  Bluewinkle is great for going out to dinner or anywhere my husband and I are going together--you only need one headlight, and it's got plenty of eyelets for racks and panniers. It is a little too small in the rear cabin, however, so it is not my favorite bicycle even though it is fun to ride.

The photo shows me and Brian riding Bluewinkle at the 1996 Seagull Century. (Usually, Brian captains the bike. I prefer to backseat drive.)

Hardtail XC Mountain bike
Description:  I don't use Stumpy much, but he comes in handy when it snows, for muddy days on the C&O Canal Towpath, or if all the road bikes are in the hospital. I don't like mountain biking very much--I'd rather walk through the woods.

Lifetime Odometer: 50.9 miles
