Our community has a rec center/gym facility which the President of our homeowner's association closed until further notice.

The gym is where I do my indoor cycling/exercise. Boo Hiss. However, I understand the caution.

Have you had similar closures where you are?

On the good news side, our bike paths are plowed and hopefully they will clear today and tomorrow's snow so I can don my winter gear for a ride or three. Otherwise I wait until temps get above 45.

My current fitness center is the Withlacoochee Trail. Open Sunrise to Sunset. 85 today and sunny. I have relegated my greeting to a brief wave or fist bump.

Yes, the hype has had its impact here as well. I do not do gyms but like Denny said, my trail is open I am riding it. I hope they do not close the bike trails.

Bike trails are great and always open. My Brother in Iowa is stuck in quarantine and can't go in or out of building so there is that. Had a nice ride in a flurry of wet snow today.

Our local YMCA has not closed...so far. I do a lot of running on the treadmill there when the weather isn't so nice outside. But we're getting to the point where I can make the outside work most of the time. As for spin classes or using the spin bikes there? That season, too, has largely passed for me. The outdoors is free and open for business! And I've been making ample use of it with the early arrival of spring! (Phil was right!!!)

I don't use a gym, but there a rec center at my apartment complex. Don't know if it's closed - supposed to be open 24 hours/7 days a week. If I am ever quarantined, all I have is a pedal exerciser that I inherited from my dad.

In my case, there are 2 condo apartment buildings that share a common recreation centre (they were built at slightly different times so they are separate corporations but share a management office). All organized events are cancelled for now which includes the card games, several social clubs, exercise programs aquafit classes. The pool is not closed so people can swim and the gym is still open for people to do their own exercises. It's the last part that doesn't make much sense to me. If the bridge club can't play cards because of an infection risk, what is the sense of letting a bunch of people exercise in a small room where they will be breathing hard?

My apartment complex also closed the fitness gym, but I never used it anyway. Today was around 72F/23C outside with sunshine and a light breeze. It was near perfect for a 33 mile loop, so that was my therapy for the day.
