Since not everyone can manage the 1000 Mile Month Challenge (especially at this time of year), here is the metric version.
All!!! it requires is a quarter ride (40.23 km) for 25 days each month to meet the goal.
Also, there's no penalty for double reporting in monthly goal threads or using rides of more or less than the ideal daily ride.

So, the challenge: Ride 1000 kilometers or more in at least one month this year ... or as many months as you want ... go for all 12 if you have the time and energy!

Just post if you want to sign up - I've included everyone who signed up for the 1000 Mile Month Challenge.

I set up the sheet so anyone can update it, so you can even add your own name to the spreadsheet.

I don't know about a goal yet, but I will participate in this challenge and try to get as many months as I can.

Got my 1000k's in for January the other day. On a side note, I just did my first 1000km on my gravel bike. Its a lot harder than road biking for sure.

I hit 1000.31 km for January on 1/20. That's on a combination of gravel bikes, road bike and fat bike.

Also, I'm going to try for 12 months in 2019. Might be harder this year with a move to New York City in July.

I got it a day or so ago. It will be interesting to see if I can get it in March as I will be back in Michigan for most of March.

Rolled through the 1000 km mark on today's ride. Interesting that so far I got 1000 km on the 20th of both months.

I hit the 1000 km mark for March somewhere near Haltenbergstetten riding Der Sportive route of the Liebliches Taubertal. That's a day earlier than in January and February, but three of three months done in 2019.
