Thanks to chipg5 for keeping this challenge going over that last few years, and for prestonjb for creating it (let me know if I'm wrong about that).
So here are the rules from prestonjb's old threads:

Rules: Typically a century counts if it is any sum of 100 miles in a 24 hour period. If you do a long ride like a DOUBLE century or a 400k BREVET then you could count the ride as TWO centuries as long as each set of 100 miles are within 24 hour periods. If you do 95 miles in 24 hours and 105 miles in the next 24 hours then it is only ONE century, not two.

You can ride 50 miles in the morning and 50 miles in the evening and it will be a century as long as the 100 miles are all in the same 24 hours...

Post the month and century or centuries you rode and any other info you want to include.

OK, since we have added a few more people this year, I'm adding the link to access the spreadsheet directly on google. Its usually much easier to update without the BJ forum snapping you back to the top of the page all the time. See below:

Got to be in to get my Century of consecutive Century months in April.

And January is done, 126.58 miles on the Virginia Capital Trail, Richmond to Jamestown and back with some side trips for extra milage.

5/1/19 158.70 miles

Pretty much the most painful ride I've ever had.
Post ride I have sporadic/constant nerve pain down my L leg.

I've had the pain before but never so persistently. I've been off the bike ever since, having acupuncture with my physio and doing what stretching/strengthening I'm able to along with self massage with the assistance of a small spiky ball.

PBP is looking somewhat doubtful. (It was to be my 3rd and last participation in the event)

I hear its pretty hot in Aussie at the moment, so take it easy on the long rides. Have to start at midnight to avoid the heat!

Ta Hairy,

It was 42C (108F) today in Perth, yesterday was 40 but in contrast to the eastern states it's been a very moderate summer in Perth so far with below average temps for Dec & Jan.

I was to ride a 600km starting next Sunday 27/1 for my last PBP qualifier but I can't risk doing my back a great disservice for the longer term so am definitely sticking with shorter rides of less than 100 km for the time being pending more treatment and rest. My back/leg thing is slowly improving but I think I ramped up things more than I should have during December...

Well, at least you got your century of metric centuries last year, so you can rest your legs now.

All the best for 2019 'may your bike have wings'

My current 'next step' is to do a 200km ride by the end of February as I've got to keep building on the run of 60 months & I'm still hoping to reach x200 200 km rides this year, after reaching x100 300+km rides last year. :>)

Cheers
Perry

2/2
165.3km/102.7 miles

Kind of a disjointed ride, out at 5am, did 25 miles, went back home to get something, everyone went short today, so was 25 miles short after we stopped for beers. Had to do a long extra loop, got home about 1pm.
