My goal for 2020, after 3/4 of a century here on the Planet, (this trip through), is to leave the past behind me where it belongs - move to a whole NEW state & a whole NEW town, where I don't know a single Soul - and start a whole NEW Life, all over again - riding my bicycles and grinning from ear to ear.

It's either that or just go ahead and die right here, right now.

My goal is 5000 miles but I always shoot for 6K. Last year I made it to about 5750. My main goal is consistency.

5000 miles
2 centuries
100 commutes
310 days
100 days in a row

I think that about covers it. I made everything but the century goal last year, so these should be completely doable.

I rode 5426 miles last year - a combination of mostly outdoor miles and some smart trainer miles. I find the smart trainer miles harder than the outdoor miles. I spent most of the year taking a beta blocker that limited my heart rate and slow me somewhat. I am off that medication now so should have better quality rides.

6000 total miles, most of which will be outdoors.

I really can't wait to get off mine. It is just to hard too ride otherwise.

I've been on one (a beta blocker) for so long now, I don't remember riding without it. Tim, you really feel it made a difference when you stopped taking it? Phil, you think it slows you down too? I just figured I was slowing down due to less miles.

I turn 60 in May, and would love to do one of the three of these for the big 60 ride:

1) THE PALOMAR GRANFONDO - Metric 67 miles,7700' includes the stunning Palomar climb.

2) Tour de Big Bear - 69 miles, 5100'

3) Tour of Utah - Ultimate challenge. Riders get to ride the same route the pro's ride the same day, just early. This year it's stage 6, but I can't find the particulars on it yet. Plenty of climbing though. Then you can kick back and watch the pros ride the same route. Just seems very cool to me.

My two main goals are Ride Bike Around the Bay and complete 16 centuries (long way to go on the centuries since a half century would be a challenge at this time). I would also like to hit the Days Challenge and the Cycle Time Century challenge. Iíll give updates. Oh, and I want to get the Ď68 Mustang running. I finally got the engine free after 15 years. But thatís another story, another website.
