Later this week is international Pi Day, the celebration of all things circular.

I usually celebrate by cycling to a local park, meeting a bunch of my friends there, and playing baseball, volleyball, and/or frisbee before a picnic of pizza pie, shepherd pie, and fruit pie.

This year I'll be in the wilds of California, camping, so I don't know how well it will work.

What are YOUR plans for Pi Day?

So who's riding for Pi today? My pie ride will be in honor of the Pi master RaleighDon. Sorely missed. So far I'm just shy of 3/10s of my Pi.

Sounds like a plan. I'll honor the Pi master with a Pi ride and stop in one of the local places for an Empanada Pie, which actually looks more like a popover. Wierd. The bakeries have lots of cakes, but have seen nary a pie in any of the local shops. Might have to do a home grown.

I unfortunately am not able to celebrate π day with a ride as we just got a bunch of snow the other day and now it's 47F outside so everything is a complete mess.

I am going to recognize today as π day and enjoy a little piece of pie but next year on 3/14/15 I am going to pardy hardy and celebrate by eating the whole thang! The only question that remains is what will the pie be - in the running, in no particular order, is pecan pie, ice cream pie, or raspberry / rhubarb.
