Big deal...lots of people rode today, right?

I've been fighting a jacked up hip for 18 months now. Bone spurs and messed up cartilage in the left, osteo-arthritis in both. Plus working 45 miles from home each way every day killed my mid-week rides.

I joined the local CrossFit 3 months ago and couldn't finish even the basic scaled back workout. Had to do step-ups instead of box jumps on a 12" box. Now I'm jumping onto a 24", and squatting all the time...and the hip feels way better!

So try to get in one ride a week. Today was crossfit at 8am, then a 20 mile road ride. I'm tired, but not dead yet!

How was your ride?

Got in 43 miles today - we tried to beat the heat with the predicted high of 103, and finished about 11 when the temps had settled into the upper 80's; actually got rained on in a brief shower that I doubt was on any weatherman's forecast.

Good for you DB - keep on rollin'!

Happy you're back on the bike!
I got in a nice 28.6 mile road ride myself before the torrential rains came again.

Good for you. After an injury I went from hobbling to the hospital bathroom to walking outside and riding around the block baby steps at a time. Much better now. Arthritis suuxxx for sure.
