The latest image may be just what is needed to get the attention I so desire?
Not exactly! My goal is to be an example worth avoiding.

Not that I am careless, but accidents happen from only slight distraction. Like a guy flying along on his bike. Thanking God for the wonder of such a magnificent experience. Feeling blessed and privileged! Then -BANG!! WTF! Where am I??

Feeling more normal today. Been taking short rides on the towpath since the crash. Looks like I'll make my 600 mile month on todays ride. Things seem back to normal except for the damage to the bike and some aches and pains...

I will be on the job Monday. What will the kids think? Then next Friday it's off to the Doctor's office for a general physical.

TODAY"S RIDE:
a late afternoon ride, back to the site of my crash;

I stopped at Petinari's Deli and talked with Dominic for a few minutes. Dom had driven past the scene on his way to the store, moments after the accident occured (about 6:50AM).

On Wednesday morning when Dominic came upon the scene, there were several people already assisting me at that point. At that moment I was mostly out of it. Only later did I remember Marty Maier asking if I wanted him to contact Ginny. Remebering then how confused I was by his question.

Stopping by the store, Dominic thought it remarkable that I was back biking around. Of course, I never stop cycling, it helps keep me alive!

78 consecutive cycling days (includes 14 indoor ride days); ... rolling along!
