The scheduled ride was cancelled at the last minute! There were RBC leadership complaints that weekend time slots should be reserved for organized club rides, and that impromptu rides should not conflict or compete with non-impromptu rides.
Of course of the 400-600 RBC members many find the impromptu rides a more relaxed pace and preferable. Also, most organized rides seldom have more than 12 participants...
So I met up with Jerry anyway at the park and did the essential ride -just the two of us. Near the halfway point two RBC speedsters (Dave? and Mike?)caught up with us. We chatted a bit in Clarendon there the two speedsters rested for lunch while Jerry and I pedaled on. I split off the ride and headed home at Gallup and O-P.T.L. Roads.
