| Weather Conditions: Very overcast, windy, but the headwinds only bothered me going up Cherry Hill, temperature 54°. Lots of traffic...my mood was such that it didn't bother me a great deal, although I did let a few folks know that they were not driving/scootering properly. I don't know why I bother...the culture here is that you don't look to see what is beside you or behind you...just concentrate on what is ahead. |
| Ride Description: I won't complain about my slow speed today since my route was mostly hills. Since I was solo this morning I headed up past the National Palace and took the bridge to the right just at the first shrimp farm. A nice winding climb to the top had me breathing pretty hard and pushing up the sleeves on my jacket and jersey. This road dead ends and apparently somewhere here is a rifle range. Might have been down the concrete path. After going back down the hill I decided to go up Cherry Hill to Four Corners. That was tough today and I even had to stop once. Went from Four Corners down via the Peitou way. I feel like I worked hard, but I enjoyed it (after I was at the top) and will do the rifle range road again. |
