Weather Conditions: Must have gone from 70's to 80's...at one point I was needing a light jacket, at another point I was hotter than heck. Was it windy, you ask? Is a polar bear green? Is the grass brown? Heck yes it was one of the windiest days I've "enjoyed" here. But I persevered and garnered my 11th metric for the year.
Ride Description: Slow, windy metric. Grand path all the way to the end on both sides of the river. Guandu (made my way through at least 500 walkers and bikers) river loop, Guandu again, Ralph's singletrack and streets home. Tough metric, but the wind was NOT going to beat me today like it did yesterday. Two miles from home my gut seized up and told me it had had enough of plowing into headwinds. Stopped and rested, then made my way home very slowly. Still feeling less than 90% at the moment, but it won't last long...saltines and coke are working wonders.
